Case Studies

We work with a number of young people, building their confidence, sociall skills and self-awareness through communication at the right level and the right time.

*****'s passion for music emerged when he began writing his own lyrics and composing tracks, where he became renound at clubs and through the House Music scene across the United Kingdom
Having contacted Eye Of The Fly, he is now working as part of our workshop programme, where he works with young people who write lyrics that helps them to identify their own thoughts and feelings.

We first started working with ***** when he was referred via A4E through a local Job Centre. He had worked in graphic design for over five years, but had no outlet where he could explore his creative side. Our Charity acted as a stepping stone and ***** is now looking towards attending college in graphic design, specialising in Digital Imaging through Photoshop and Illustrator.

**** was a prolific young offender. His lack of respect for the society around him was born out of the fact that he had a violent father. But nobody really addressed this issue and he was just regarded as a bad kid. We worked with **** within a six-week programme, introducing him to the world of art, music, theatre and health and fitness. His initial focus was towards aerosol art and dj'ing, but he soon developed an interest in our health and fitness classes, engaging in Pilates in particular. Whilst the creative activities caught his attention initially, allowing us the opportunity to work with ****, he is now studying Sports Science at one of the region's Colleges. And through understanding himself a little better, he has been able to look constructively at the reasons behind his challenged upbringing, which in turn has allowed him to focus his energies in a positive direction.
